My little LadyBug arrived today and I just added her to her new storage unit! She barely fits but I made it work! I wanted to be sure she wouldn’t be damaged in there! It took a few tries and I almost gave up! But I finally was able to position her for the best fit! She came with a nice plush fleece blanket, which worked perfectly in this case to prevent her from getting scratched when taking out and putting her back in, especially for her head. I weighed her and she weighs about 8 pounds on my scale, as well when I calculate the difference between my weight with and without her. I had to give her the bottom shelf in this particular storage unit, or she would have caused too much of an indentation for any dolls stored below her. These shelves are not solid material so each shelf has a little give to it, yet supports the weights of each doll adequately.
Well, here she is, sort of squeezed into her little unit as she is 26 inches long! But she’s not jammed in there to the point where it will cause any damage or warping of her body. I have her in a pretty good position to keep her straight enough and well supported. Her legs and body appear larger because they’re closer to the camera so it makes her body look huge compared to her head, which is not an accurate depiction of her dimensions.
More photos of my storage unit! she took over the shelf that was storing clothing and accessories but I was able to move those items back into the large drawer in my hutch where I had them prior to obtaining the storage unit. Once Courtney is sold I can move them into her spot on the very top shelf, which work well. They aren’t heavy at all.
She's the most perfect little baby ever!!! I'd be over the moon too!!!
