Downsizing My Reborn Collection

My collection currently includes eight Reborns! It is time to downsize! With our move to a smaller home, it is difficult to accommodate this many! It was a difficult decision but I really need to reduce my collection by half of what it is now! 

I never, ever thought I would sell him but I listed my Kodi Bear boy this morning and he has already sold just hours later! I sold him for $600 plus $50 for shipping and insurance. He is a sold out limited edition (SOLE), #1231/2000. I have so many clothes for him, most of which I can’t use for the remaining Reborns in my collection. He wears size 6-9 months. So do Kodi Bear gal and Pickle but the clothes are mostly all boy! Some are neutral so I can use them for my larger two girls. 

I’ll include three outfits for Kodi Bear boy’s box opening. I’ll sell whatever else I can’t use. I’ll need to take photos of each outfit and items of clothing and post it as a lot. I don’t want to have to deal with packing each item separately and I don’t want to have to keep running to the post office every five minutes as each item sells!  It’ll be a lot of photos as I have sooooo many clothes for him! But selling as a lot instead of individually will be far more efficient for me! Anyway, selling Kodi Bear boy and getting rid of most of his clothing also helps with space and downsizing in the end! 

I just purchased Primrose Asleep before we moved four months ago. I literally did the box opening when I received her and then had to re-box for the move! She is also a sold out limited edition (SOLE), #494/1250. She was sold as a boy, Parker. But the sculpt is actually a girl. I listed her this morning for $600 plus $30 for shipping and insurance. There are currently 16 views and two watchers. Adorable baby but I am just not connecting with this one for some reason. 

This morning I also listed Kovu, almost sold out limited edition, #272/800, for $450 plus $30 shipping plus insurance. He currently has 31 views and 3 watchers. I also just barely received a message requesting additional photos to show veining. I’ll have to get some added photos in the morning and send them. I loved his photos before I purchased him as well as after purchasing him. But he’s truly a premie; tiny premie. Just too small for me. I love bigger babies! Likely because my son was 9 pounds and 2 ounces when he was born and he remained off the charts for height and weight right into his school age years! 

This morning I also listed Kimberly Asleep, an open edition, for $400 plus $30 shipping. She has had 13 views with 1 watching. 

My remaining collection: 

Kodi Bear gal, sold out limited edition (SOLE), # 1285/2000! 

Pickle, highly popular, now sold out limited edition (SOLE), # 1023/3700. 

Gracie Mae, another popular Reborn, sold out limited edition (SOLE), # 1308/3000. 

And last is Michael, an open edition. I am on the fence as far as selling him so I’m holding off for now. I really love this little guy! He is a difficult one to part with. For now, selling four out of four is tough enough, especially my Kodi Bear boy, which I love! But for some reason, parting with Michael is more difficult! 

But, if I do decide to sell him I can sell most of his clothes too, which would help me downsize even more! If I was to sell him, I would have two older Reborn girls that wear size 6-9 months and one infant Reborn girl that wears size newborn, or 0-3 months. I would only need two large bins instead of three large bins. Even then, I still have far too many clothes and might sell some of them. They will never wear even half of them! But one step at a time! I sold one out of four listed Reborns already. I still have three more to sell. Then I’ll deal with selling clothing I no longer need! 

I ultimately would like to get my collection down to two or three but I am just not ready to part with these last four Reborns! One out of the four I listed, Kodi Bear boy, is difficult to part with. The other three that I have listed are easy to part with. So I will just work on the four for now, and think some more about it after I get them sold.
