I have been working on quite a few things in my tiny nursery! A new dry erase board has been decorated! And I started working on the shelves for my miniature, dollhouse-sized (1:12 scale) baby furniture collection! Shelves have been installed as well as wallpaper, which happens to be some wrapping paper that I had on hand. I also added more decorative decals on the ceiling and storage furniture, a baby mobile, a new lampshade to dress up the ceiling light a little, and added several assorted decorations to my space!
The reason for proceeding with the miniature dollhouse baby furniture is due to the inability of my tiny nursery to accommodate life-sized baby furniture. It sure is a lot cheaper to buy miniature rather than life-size baby furniture! I was pleasantly surprised how much they cost for the most part! I love bassinets and other beautiful baby furniture! Over time, I can add as much as I want to this new collection! My tiny nursery now houses my Reborn and silicone doll collection, and will soon house my miniature dollhouse collection! Here are the pieces I have purchased so far but have not yet arrived.
Bassinet only *None of the other items in this particular photo, however, wouldn’t mind having all of it, LOL!
For my miniature dollhouse furniture shelving area, I lined the shelves with adhesive felt and put corner vinyl border where the wallpaper ends on each side to give it a nice border. I also utilized some of the felt for little rugs to provide a little contrast between the entire “rug” covering the “floors” with the small area rugs.
After:
I found some cheap, used dollhouse windows on EBay to add. I’ll use adhesive tape to hang them. I have lots of scraps of fabric on hand to make little curtains for them. I can also use the fabric to make little blankets and pillows, etc.!
These miniature photo frames coming soon, as well as these little woodland stickers to use inside each photo. Should look cute, I hope! I can also use the woodland stickers to dress up the walls a little. I might apply them along the bottom of the wall where it meets up with the “floor.”
I also have three 1:12 scale miniature dolls coming that are actually collectible! They’re made from polymer clay.
A new lamp shade to help conceal the ugly ceiling light a little!
