Storage Updates Nearly Complete!

This has definitely been a fun project and a work in progress to fine-tune my collection! I loved the little puck lights so much that I decided to buy more! They come in a five-pack and I have five dolls in my collection! 

I also ordered some adhesive door knobs to put over the holes that form a way to open the doors. This will help me keep my collection more private as well!

These new door knobs are going to look great! Can’t wait for them to arrive! They come in a package of 10. I ordered two packages so I would have enough to put two on each door, inside and outside over the hole in each door. I have six doors: Five for the dolls and one for the storage shelf. I also had some left-over panels, doors and connectors and made another small storage unit by my desk in the loft. So I’ll have plenty of door knobs for those doors as well.

So these door knobs will cover the hole in each door, as seen below. No peaking! LOL! 

I just love these puck lights! They seem pretty durable and the adhesive is holding perfectly!

Reorg Update!

The new clips to post the COAs (certificates of authenticity) arrived today! They look so much better than the binder clips! Perfect size too! They will keep the certificates nice abs straight with no curling! Must take good care of these! 

Now that my collection of dolls has a new storage area and are no longer in the bottom of my curio cabinet, I was able to reorganize, not only the hutch, but, my curio as well! I had overloaded my hutch with items from the curio previously in order to vacate the bottom shelf in the curio.

And my curio has many items that are much nicer-looking, as the doll collection really didn’t fit in! 

Another Storage Update!

I’m really enjoying my new storage solution for my collection! So glad I was able to free up the bottom shelf in my curio too! At some point soon I’ll rearrange everything in my curio. Right now that bottom shelf is bare! 

This is where I had my collection previously. When I added Kimberly to my collection I couldn’t add her here as there was no room for her. This is what prompted me to seek an alternative storage option for my entire collection. It was also difficult to set them up inside the curio. There is a door on each side but the opening is narrow. It took a lot of effort to carefully set them all up without damaging them. And if I wanted to take any out for a photo shoot or to clean them a bit, it was a challenge. So now this entire shelf is empty. I can redistribute everything in the curio and it will look much nicer when done. And I can now easily access each doll with ease as needed! 

Anyway, I had forgotten that I have a box full of various adhesive hooks and Velcro! So I was able to hang up the COA’s (certificates of authenticity) for each Reborn doll and the birth certificate for my silicone gal! I will get some nicer looking clips than the ones I have at the moment but it’s good for now! 

Unfortunately the Velcro I have wouldn’t work for the doors due to the way the adhesive is applied to the Velcro. I kept searching for something that would work and accidentally came across some child safety locks! I ordered them and just installed them! They’re perfect for this!

I also forgot that I had ordered these air fresheners that are baby powder scented! They’re intended for placing inside the doll’s diaper or other area on the doll to give it that nice, sweet baby scent. But I just opened a couple for now and placed them inside the storage unit, hidden inside a couple of the blankets in there. It smells so nice!

So here are the new devices to keep the doors closed! I think they blend in nicely too! 

I really love the puck lights! 

I am using the bottom shelf to store clothing and accessories. 

I’m also using the metal hanger bars to store all of my magnetic pacifiers! And I just love these magnetic bottles! I have two right now and two more are on the way! One for each Reborn doll. My silicone gal takes a real baby pacifier and real baby bottle so she doesn’t need the magnetic ones.
