Kovu Has Arrived!

Kovu is a limited edition Reborn, number 272 out of 800 world wide! I really wanted a boy with rooted hair! I have to admit he is much smaller than I had anticipated. The listing said 17 inches so I knew he would be on the smaller side. But he is smaller than I had anticipated. Very disappointed with myself on this purchase! 

I measured him and barely got to 16 inches. I have many newborn-sized boy outfits but I doubt most will not fit him properly. I am pretty sure he would need preemie-sized clothing. I do love the fact that he is a limited edition with only 800 made. I love his rooted hair. But his artistry is truly average at best. It lacks details such as veining. His finger and toe nails lack detail. He looked much nicer in the artist’s photos. But details such as veining are lacking. average but not as good as I had anticipated from the artist’s photos  No returns are allowed. You keep or sell what you buy. 

I have decided to hold off on selling Michael, my other boy Reborn. He is not a limited edition (open edition) and has painted hair instead of rooted hair. But his artistry is so much nicer and detailed. And, he is more the size that I prefer. I love larger babies to begin with! I am going to sell Kovu. When I list him, I will not enter 17 inches for length. I will enter 16 inches instead, as I do not want someone else to be disappointed too.

I took down the listing for Michael just now and listed Kovu instead. I will list Michael again after I find another boy, limited edition (or sold out limited edition), newborn-sized Reborn, with rooted hair. My search continues unfortunately! I truly thought Kovu would be a  nice fit for my collection, but he is not.
